The Extension of Administrative and Financial Arrangement with United Nations regarding APDIM

His Excellency Dr. Nassereddin Heidari, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Bangkok and Iran's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), met with Her Excellency Madam Armida Alisjahbana, United Nation's Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of ESCAP, to sign an amendment to Financial and Administrative Agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United Nations regarding the Asian and Pacific Centre for the Development of Disaster Information Management (APDIM), to extend the duration of the aforementioned document until 2031.

It should be noted that APDIM, based in Tehran, provides services related to resilience and disaster risk reduction against crises and natural disasters for Asia and Pacific countries. It also actively works on establishing regional platforms and international coalitions to combat disasters and mitigating their transboundary impacts.
