On the last day of the 4th meeting of the ASOSAI Crisis Management Audit Working Group, Dr. Zamani, Deputy Director of Legal Affairs, Parliament and Budget Disbursement of the Court of Audit of the Islamic Republic of Iran, met with Dr. Sutthi Suntharanurak, Deputy Auditor General of the Royal Court of Audit of Thailand and Deputy Chairman of the ASOSAI Crisis Management Audit Working Group. Dr. Zamani, while thanking the Thai Court of Audit for the favorable hosting and planning, pointed out the introduction of the Court of Audit of the Islamic Republic of Iran as an independent supervisory institution in terms of its powers, duties and international activities and the effectiveness of this institution in creating financial discipline and transparency in the country in the form of providing quality reports to the Parliament and other supervisory institutions. Referring to the 420-year-old cultural and historical relations between the two countries and emphasizing the need to increase and deepen bilateral relations and cooperation in various political, economic and cultural fields, he proposed the exchange of expert groups and holding training workshops in the field of government auditing, especially in the fields of information technology, crisis management and environmental auditing, which was welcomed by the Thai side. The head of the delegation of the Court of Audit of the Islamic Republic of Iran also referred to the chairmanship of the Court of Audit of the Islamic Republic of Iran over ECOSAI and emphasized the need to operationalize the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two courts, and suggested that an implementation plan for activating and operationalizing the aforementioned document be developed in the near future and placed on the agenda of the parties. Sutthi Suntharanurak, Deputy Chairman of the Royal Court of Audit of Thailand, also conveyed the gratitude of the President of the Court of Audit of Thailand to the President of the Court of Audit of the Islamic Republic of Iran for sending a high-level delegation to participate in the ASOSAI Crisis Management Audit Working Group meeting, and pointed out the appropriate relations and interactions between the two Courts of Audit, including the official support of the Court of Audit of Thailand for the membership of the Court of Audit of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the ASOSAI Audit Committee during the 16th ASOSAI General Assembly meeting in India in 1403. The Vice Chairman of the ASOSAI Crisis Management Audit Working Group also expressed his readiness to develop an implementation plan for the Memorandum of Understanding between the two Courts as soon as possible and, in close coordination with the parties, to put the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding into operation. On the sidelines of the 4th meeting of the ASOSAI Crisis Management Audit Working Group, the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran also held separate bilateral meetings with the heads of the delegations of the Court of Audit of South Korea (chairman of the working group), Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, China, Japan, and Kazakhstan.
