H.E. Nassereddin HEIDARI, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Kingdom of Thailand, met with H.E. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, on June 16, 2026. During the meeting, honorable Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, welcomed the agreement reached between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America to end the conflict, referring to the statement from the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, issued on June 15, 2026. Both sides also discussed the process of transferring the bodies of three Thai nationals from Iran to Bangkok and the safe passage of Thai vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. It is to be noted that the legal procedures in Iran for transferring the bodies have been completed, and they will soon be transferred to Thailand once a few technical issues are sorted out.
